I’ve now gotten into the habit of leisurely strolling through the $1 / $3 aisles at Target. I bought all of my Christmas gift wrapping supplies there in December and have been so surprised at what you can find for such low prices.
Over the weekend, I stopped in and picked up a little 2015 pocket planner and some Valentine’s Day items (which definitely excited me into getting a gift for my someone very special…). What’s so nice about this section is that a lot of their items are seasonal and relevant to current necessities. At least for me, this prevents me from hoarding items I don’t need but would only buy because of its price, you know, “just in case”. It also can inspire last-minute gift ideas for a couple friends, family, and co-workers that you normally would not have done, you know, “just because”. Like using these gift tags ($1 for a set of 8) to wrap simply packaged homemade cookies, boxed chocolates, or a bottle of wine. The greatest thing is that this is friendly to all budgets – in fact, they’re best friends -, and they don’t look cheap – in fact, they are very stylish.
