Chocolate Chip Cookies … The Best
There are many things I find joy in this life. One of them is food and all that surrounds it – restaurants, people, entertaining, EATING, wine, being in the kitchen, and specifically baking. Baking is something that just comes natural to me, and I love sharing my creations with people. Even a dessert as simple as chocolate chip cookies… Especially when they’re the best batch I’ve ever baked.
These cookies are thick and hearty (they won’t fall apart when dipped in milk), they have a perfect balance of dough and chips in every bite, and the texture of the cookie is the same from the edge to the center: soft but not “doughy”, and they don’t have an outer edge crunch. I followed this recipe from Averie Cooks and added a few adjustments. They turned out gorgeous. So gorgeous, that I had to get them out of the house. Dan took them to his office, and they were gone by lunch!
